How CareLedger handles the information needed to coordinate care.
Good care coordination is not about adding more administration. It is about making the right context visible at the moment someone needs to act.
1. Information we handle
CareLedger handles account information such as your email address, authentication identifier and preferences. It also handles the care-circle information you choose to add, including names, routines, tasks, reminders, appointments, notes, updates and medication details such as names and times.
We handle care-team information when you invite a caregiver, assign a role or record who completed or changed an item. If you contact support, we may receive the details you include in your message. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, reusable invitation links or unnecessary care information.
2. How information is used and shared
We use information to authenticate accounts, create and display care circles, sync permitted changes, deliver reminders you enable, support invitations and protect the service. CareLedger does not use care-circle information to make a diagnosis, recommend treatment or provide emergency decisions.
Care information in a circle is visible to the people invited to that circle according to their role. We do not sell care-circle information or share it with advertisers.
3. Providers and optional services
CareLedger uses Supabase for hosting, database and authentication; Expo for app delivery and push-notification infrastructure; RevenueCat and the applicable app store for optional subscription entitlements and purchases; Google when you choose Google sign-in; and PostHog only when you opt in to product analytics.
Support requests sent to webalign.ug@gmail.com are handled through Google Gmail. Optional product analytics do not include care-record content, names, notes, invitation links, contact details or medication information.
4. Notifications and device storage
When you enable a reminder, CareLedger may create local or platform notification scheduling information so your device can attempt to notify you at the selected time. Notification permission is optional for using the core care plan.
CareLedger uses local device storage for settings and normal reconnect behaviour. Operating-system settings, permission choices, battery optimisation, network state and device behaviour can affect notification delivery.
5. Retention and deletion
CareLedger keeps account and circle data while the relevant account and circle remain active so authorised people can coordinate care. You can delete individual items and can delete your account from Account settings.
Account deletion removes your profile and care records owned by that account from the active service. Limited information may be retained where necessary to maintain shared-circle integrity, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations or complete ordinary backup cycles. If you cannot sign in, use the account-deletion page or email webalign.ug@gmail.com.
6. Your choices and contact
You can control who you invite to a care circle, change or remove information you entered, decline notification permissions and turn optional analytics off at any time. You are responsible for having the right to add and share information about a person receiving care.
For privacy questions, account-deletion help or concerns about an invitation or care circle, email webalign.ug@gmail.com. This policy is effective 26 September 2026 and is updated when a material change affects how information is handled.
